The MVP of our homestead

Est. 2013

Steve and I grew up in the country, and our dream had been to provide our children with a similar childhood. God abundantly provided through this home with 15 acres in 2013.

We value homegrown food, cooking from scratch, and working with our hands, and we try to incorporate our three sons into our daily tasks.

Over the years, we have planted a 17-tree orchard, a large garden, fruit plots, and built a coop for 30 laying hens. We have plenty to keep us busy.

Here we will share gardening tips, recipes that utilize our fresh produce, and food preservation adventures.

In the kitchen

All summer long, my kitchen counters are overflowing with bowls and bins of freshly picked produce.

We then spend countless hours canning, freezing, and dehydrating our bounty to enjoy during the long winter months.

Baking is also a passion of mine, and since I am not gluten/egg/dairy free, I have had to convert many of our favorite recipes to ones that I can enjoy, too!
